We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Procurement to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be a member of the Global Director Procurement team.
The core responsibility of the Director of Procurement is to be responsible for significant tangible Strategic Sourcing Management improvement, including direct material and CMO cost optimization, supplier performance management and supplier collaboration.
The Director of direct Procurement will be an exceptionally capable leader to ensure material availability and establish performance metrics consistent with the company's strategic vision. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, front-line leader with the executive presence to establish immediate credibility with functional leaders and Norgine's business unit leaders worldwide.
The Director will oversee a global team of 4 to 5 direct plus dotted-line reports through the business units. Primary responsibilities include driving a centrally coordinated, comprehensive, category-focused, global cost and risk optimization effort.This will include systematic category request for proposal (RFP) processes, addressing new supplier development, supplier payment terms, ensuring material availability, make vs. buy analysis, tools, and processes to ensure sustainable continuous improvement of costs and risk for the business.
The Director will not only lead the Direct and CMO Procurement Team but will also be the Strategic Category Leader of the top spend Material Category.
The executive must quickly understand the Specialty Pharmaceuticals industry (including all regulatory requirements) to assess the current team and strategy effectiveness. While a solid understanding and reinforcement of the industry fundamentals are required, the Director must drive "graduate-level" strategic sourcing efforts.The executive should have experience managing highly regulated products and supply base.
Requirements
Experience and professional qualifications required for the role:
§ Strong base of experience and successful track record in strategic sourcing for direct and CMO categories
§ Exposure to highly regulated industries in general, pharmaceuticals ideally
§ Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes and systems.
§ Team and culture transformation experience.
§ Familiarity with CMO, CRO, pharmaceutical raw material sourcing /supply base.
§ Previous roles in Supply Chain/Planning fundamentals including SI&OP.
§ Supplier Consolidation experience.
MBA or Graduate degree preferred
