Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator

As an Infrastructure Engineer / Administrator you will play a crucial role in creating and adapting infrastructure-level designs for the implementation of enterprise applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing comprehensive infrastructure designs and operational guidelines to support the deployment and adaptation of enterprise solutions.
• Leading technical negotiations and making informed decisions to ensure the optimal implementation of new solutions.
• Creating detailed network flow designs and accompanying documentation for effective implementation.
• Collaborating with specialized technical teams to validate proposed infrastructure designs.
• Conducting Proof of Concept activities and overseeing the initial deployment in non-production environments.
• Managing administrative tasks necessary to transition designs into the operational production cycle, including ticket creation and timeline negotiations.
• Acting as an Infrastructure Engineer expert, coordinating with Operational Engineers to ensure successful implementation and completion of designs.
• Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to ensure thorough testing of the implemented infrastructure.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in creating technical designs (both high-level and detailed) leading to implementation, including processing power, network segmentation, security principles, monitoring, and backup/restore strategies.
• At least 5 years of experience in installing and configuring server operating systems (MS Windows and/or Linux), with a strong understanding of infrastructure interactions (CIFS/SMB, NFS, secure LDAP integration, Public Key Certificates, Service accounts, APIs, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience adapting infrastructure designs with a focus on security hardening across all solution layers (hardware, operating system, middleware) using recognized frameworks (e.g., CIS guidelines).
• At least 3 years of experience documenting technical specifications and operational procedures related to infrastructure design.
• Strong negotiation skills, with a minimum of 3 years engaging with various stakeholders (ICT Security, Governance, Data Protection, ICT Operations/Solution teams, Project Management) to refine design deliverables.
• Proficient in creating both high-level and detailed technical designs that facilitate implementation.
• Knowledgeable in the implementation and configuration of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems, including infrastructure interaction (file shares, secure LDAP, etc.).
• Experience with security hardening for operating systems and applications, along with troubleshooting implications of hardening.

Desirable Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience leading an ICT Operational team to execute designs, including coordinating implementation and troubleshooting various components.
• 2 years of experience in calculating the Total Cost of Ownership for proposed designs.
• Familiarity with configuring application servers for authentication systems, encryption, and file/database access, as well as troubleshooting those components.
