At Studyportals, we aim to change the world by helping students find their dream education. With increasing competition and frequent changes in Google search algorithms, we need someone to help us grow organically and stay ahead.
As a Senior Product Owner for Growth and SEO, your job will be crucial in helping students discover the resources they need. First, you will collaborate with our Growth team (4 engineers and a team lead) to drive organic traffic growth. Once you are onboarded, you’ll work with our SEO team (2 SEO specialists and 2 content writers) to create scalable content strategies that keep us a leader in education guidance.
We need someone who is eager to jump in, learn quickly, and deliver meaningful results.
Your three main goals- Increase organic traffic through technical SEO, content structure, and evergreen content, attracting students who are more likely to register or engage with us.
- Make content production scalable by applying tools like AI and programmatic SEO in our tools and processes.
- Create and develop together with your teams a plan to enforce structural and programmatic content freshness, making sure that search engines and AI search engines see us as an up-to-date, trustworthy source of information.
Your team
Your team includes a Growth team of four engineers and a team lead who drive innovation and bring technical expertise. All are smart professionals, eager to attract students to the platform. The SEO team consists of two passionate SEO specialists focused on making an impact and two content writers dedicated to producing high-quality content.You’ll report to Bianca, your manager, who promotes a positive, hardworking, and dynamic work environment. Bianca reports to Emiel, the CTO. It’s a flat organization, able to quickly adopt great ideas and new business cases. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with other stakeholders, including the other Product Owners and a small UX design team, who are always ready to brainstorm and implement creative solutions.
Your responsibilities- Develop and prioritize plans to increase organic traffic by enhancing SEO strategies and content quality.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure all growth initiatives align with the company’s goals.
- Make sure our content and landing pages are scalable and up-to-date using AI and programmatic SEO.
- 7+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with strong knowledge of SEO best practices and content automation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile frameworks
- Skilled at diving into data to analyze trends, support ideas, and set the right priorities. Comfortable using data to make informed decisions and measure success.
- Proficient in at least one tool (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Mixpanel, etc.).
- Clear and effective communicator, skilled in working with diverse stakeholders.
- Take ownership of goals and targets, drive change, and actively push SEO and content initiatives to reach the next level
- Based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate, with the ability to work at the office at least two days a week on Monday and Friday.
