What’s Cooking Group (previously named Ter Beke) exists for 75 years, is listed as family company on Euronext Brussels since 1986 (EBR: WHATS) and realised a turnover of EUR 832 million in 2023.For our sites in Wijchen and Ridderkerk, we are looking for Allround Technicians to join our teams.
What are your tasks as an Allround Technician?
As an Allround Technician, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the flawless operation of our machinery and energy facilities. After a thorough induction period, you will make a crucial contribution to achieving our company's productivity and quality targets.
Your main tasks include:
- Fast and independent troubleshooting: You will repair interferences in the machinery and energy facilities and ensure that these solutions are preventively secured for the future.
- Contributing to new technical projects: You participate in the installation of new machines, often in collaboration with external contractors.
- Preventive and curative maintenance: As an expert, you take care of both preventive and curative maintenance of our installations.
- Keeping correct records: You record problems and their solutions, and make clear instructions.
- Execute maintenance plan: You are responsible for maintaining and implementing the maintenance plan.
- Collaborating with other departments: You work closely with colleagues in Production and report to the Maintenance Manager.
- Technical training and experience: You have a technical education (e.g. Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Techniques level 3/4 or equivalent courses) and have initial experience in a similar role.
- Working independently: With your technical background and experience, you can work independently and autonomously. Experience with packaging machines in the food sector is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC and automation: Any knowledge of this is a plus.
- Sense of responsibility: You have a great sense of responsibility and constantly keep safety, quality, order and cleanliness in mind.
- Willingness to work in a cool environment: You have no problem working in a cool working environment (between 2 and 7 degrees Celsius).
- Flexibility in working hours: You are willing to work in 2 shifts (working hours from 06.00h-15.00h or from 15.00h-00.00h) and occasionally on Saturdays.
- Cooperation in shifts: Within the technical department, you will work in shifts, where you are never alone. You will always run in a group of three mechanics, allowing you to be learned quickly and never be alone.
- Language skills: You have a good knowledge of Dutch or English.
