Events Management & People operations Internship

SkillLab is working with employment and career services in 30+ countries and seeks to transform labor and education markets globally.

• You will experience the culture of a technology start-up and work in an international environment with SkillLabers from 30+ countries.
• You will create an impact on SkillLab by bringing people together in our company off-sites and other events.
• You will work closely with the Internal Operations team, as well as other functions when needed.
• You will gain hands-on experience in event organization and people ops workflows in a tech company of 65+ people.

Your team

You will directly work with Felix, one of Skilllab co-founders who leads the internal operations team.

You will cooperate with Tais to organize our spring company-offsite. Tais is as our People Operations Coordinator and Office Manager, organizing company-wide retreats, cultural events & managing the office.

As the internal ops team we ensure the smooth running of SkillLab as an organisation and support our beloved SkillLabers.

• You will support the organization of our spring and autumn company off-sites, summer company day and other events in our office (e.g. researching and organizing restaurants and/or catering options, supporting logistics, helping with agenda & fun activities etc.
• You will contribute to a variety people operations projects (E.g. finding creative ways that SkillLabers deepen their personal relationships with each other, supporting our team leadership development, or doing desk research to find external suppliers).

• You have an interest in event organisation and planning. No prior work experience or relevant study are needed.
• You value attention to detail and have a passion for creating exceptional experiences.
• You are a team player but at the same time you can work independently and prioritise your work.

• You have prior internship / work experience or university / volunteering projects related to event organisation.
• You are a Dutch speaker.

• You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don’t support visa applications for applicants from outside the EU.
• You are able to commit to a six-month full-time (40 hour/week) internship.
• You live in Amsterdam and can commit to office attendance at least three days per week.

• This is a paid internship. If you live in Amsterdam or relocate to Amsterdam during your internship, then the monthly reimbursement is will be 1.000 EUR.
• While we prefer candidates living in Amsterdam, we are also open to interns living in another nearby city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 2 days per week. In that case, the monthly reimbursement will be 700 EUR. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.
• We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date as soon as possible, preferably in early February.

• You will have a personal learning budget to invest in your professional development.

• You will join our bi-annual company offsite retreats in different locations like Belgium, the Netherlands etc.
