Our client is a prominent player in the Manufacturing and Production sector. As a large organisation, they boast a substantial global footprint and a reputation for excellence, with operations extending to several continents. Their Amsterdam branch is at the heart of their European operations.

• Supporting the audit process for designated legal entities and preparing local bridge files/Extended Trial Balances.
• Overseeing and ensuring effective accounting audit procedures by reviewing financial reports and data.
• Managing the implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and documentation of financial accounting systems, procedures, and internal control improvements.
• Assisting in the accurate monthly accounting close process for assigned internal clients/business processes, including Accounts Receivable, bad debt postings, transfer pricing adjustments, and Trial Balance review.
• Monitoring late post-month-end close adjustments and submitting necessary entries to the consolidation team.
• Tracking the completion of audit and tax filings, ensuring timely statutory and tax submissions, and providing regular updates to senior management.
• Preparing statutory, tax, insurance, and other regulatory reports within required deadlines.
• Analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting financial and budgetary reports.
• Collaborating with sales, sales operations, FP&A, and logistics teams.
• Supporting profit elimination, cost accounting, and FP&A discussions.
• Assisting in the completion of internal tax packages and monitoring withholding tax receivables.
• Aiding in SOX controls certification and reconciliations.
• Managing relationships with the outsourced HCL team in India and the local accounting team.
• Ensuring proper documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
• Possessing knowledge of US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and IFRS, particularly in revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Handling additional ad hoc tasks as required by the EMEA Accounting Manager.

Profiel

A successful Statutory accountant a.i. should have:

• Strong academic background in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven competency in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, US GAAP
