Position Responsibilities: The Purchasing Specialist responsibility is to procure and manage products for Future Metals, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.- Forecasts trends and provides planning for product growth and market expansion.
- Place purchase orders and amendments with suppliers.
- Identify adjacent product opportunities to add to the FM MRO Segment portfolio.
- Assist division managers in managing local tube inventories.
- Sourcing and quoting.
- Vendor management team member with shared responsibilities for monitoring and quarterly/yearly reviews of assigned vendors.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet organizational goals.
- Provide market feedback to Division Managers and Purchasing team members.
- Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and supplier visits, to position Future Metals as the primary provider of raw materials and interior aftermarket products to Airlines and 3rd Party MRO facilities.
- Provide monthly reports on growth initiatives, inventory levels and supplier concerns and lead-time.
Qualifications And Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
- Previous purchasing experience – Preferred
- Strong interpersonal verbal/written communication skills.
- Keen sense of accuracy with close attention to detail.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Computer skills – MS Excel, Intermediate
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Good work ethic with a positive, productive approach.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams.
- Effective Communication.
- Organizational and Detail focused.
- Basic Math Skills.
