Job Overview
We seek an experienced, results-oriented Rotterdam Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives in the Netherlands and the wider European market. This role is instrumental in expanding Delmar Safety’s reach by building strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring smooth, effective sales operations.
A successful candidate will have the potential to advance to the position of EU Sales Manager based on performance and leadership impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, support, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance and maintain a positive, results-driven environment.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and strengthen relationships with clients, including shipowners, shipyards, ship chandlers, and ship management companies, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the marine safety and supply chain, expanding Delmar Safety’s market presence across the Netherlands and Europe.
  • Sales Process Oversight: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring effective communication, order accuracy, and proactive problem resolution.
  • Contract Negotiation: Drive successful negotiations with key clients and partners to secure advantageous agreements and long-term partnerships.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales metrics and targets, providing regular insights and feedback to the sales team to foster continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as logistics and operations to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 5-10 years of proven success in marine sales, with a strong understanding of the Dutch market.
  • Network: Established connections within the marine supply chain, including shipowners, shipyards, and ship management companies.
  • Industry Influence: Proven track record of driving results and influencing market trends within the marine industry.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional skills in negotiation and relationship management.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a sales team; previous management experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Language & Residence Permit: Fluent in both Dutch and English & EU Working Permit is compulsory.

Additional Information
  • Location: This position is based in Rotterdam; candidates should be able to commute daily.
