Internship (Procurement): Flexible Packaging Europe

You will be part of the EU Packaging Procurement Team, contributing to EU projects and the strategy for Flexibles Direct & Indirect Food Contact Packaging. You will support the team in achieving some of the key pillars such as: supporting the creation of EU strategy, leading/coordinating projects for EU, bringing external innovation and supporting on database build creation.Within a highly dynamic and complex working environment you will have the opportunity to work with many exciting global brands (e.g. Activia, Oikos, Evian, Aptamil, Nutricia, Alpro and Silk).
As part of the Packaging team, your assignment will be to:
- Collect and analyze complex data from various sources (i.e. EU cost benchmarks);
- Explore and recommend identified efficiency opportunities and support the business with implementations;
- Present the conclusions and recommendations in a structured and effective way to stakeholders;
- Building market knowledge and intelligence related to Flexibles Packaging, with that identifying new sourcing opportunities;
- Collect and structure innovations in Packaging and share them within the organization;
- Keep up to date project planning overview for dynamic cross country / platform projects while managing internal and external stakeholders;
- Co-lead and support global RFP/RFQ events.
- Support operational procurement activities like contract lifecycle management, price-list management etc
You are a self-starter, curious, and you are not afraid to share your opinion or ask questions when needed. You have proficient knowledge of Excel that can be used for efficient data analysis, and analytical skills to transform data into useful insights.
Also, you are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.
There are also some compulsory requirements:
- Enrolled as a student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
- Available to start in February 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 working days per week (2 days in the office)
- You are fluent in English - spoken and written; (Spanish or French are highly appreciated as well).
- You are willing to commute to Hoofddorp, NL.
- Please note that you are expected to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer
We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
- Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
